I was introduced to StarShine Academy, as a guest at the Main Campus in the spring of 2005 by a close friend who had met Trish McCarthy when exploring options for her child’s education.   “You two need to meet!  She’s incorporating the principles of peace into schools.”  It was a short trip to involvement.  My husband , Johndennis Govert,  and we began to serve as a member of the Advisory Group , 11 Days of Peace  activities, and the logistics of opening  new campuses. 

 

After closing my green real estate brokerage in 2009, I felt strongly that it was time to work with a non-profit organization, a team versus a solo idealist, in the rebuilding of our local economy, in a green sustainable, practical manner.  I am here to build green schools and curriculum that teaches responsible sustainable choices that work in today’s world.

 

In late March 2009, I joined the staff as an Administrative Assistant at our St. John Campus.  Currently I have assumed some of the Registrar attendance and reporting duties for all three campuses.
